L - Shelving System
Since I was in design school, I was opposed to the first ever shelving system which was made by Scandinavian designer Poul Cadovius in 1948 and his concept: “Most of us live on the bottom of a cube. If we put the walls even with the floor, we get a lot of space to live on”.
After 70 years, there’re a hundred shelving systems were created and sold all over the world. But the idea is still new and challenges designers to keep exploring and creating a new one. We tried to express the “industrial chic” look and present the features that most people tend to conceal in this shelving system design, such as head bolts, drill holes, anti-bending steel, metal structure…
But the overall plan is still simple enough to adapt most of modern space such as home, hospitality or public.
